How to brief a packaging supplier for an accurate quote
The fastest way to a good quote is a clear brief. Give a supplier these five things and you will usually get a price the same working day.
1. Bag type and size
Name the format (valve sack, open-mouth woven, FIBC, BOPP-laminated, foil) and the flat dimensions or fill capacity (kg / litres).
2. Material and finish
Specify the fabric and any lamination or barrier — for example “PP woven, BOPP laminated, gloss” or “kraft + PE, 3-ply”.
3. Print
How many colors, one or both sides, and whether you have artwork ready. Send a logo or reference if you have one.
4. Quantity
Your target order quantity drives both price and feasibility. Mention if it is a trial run or a recurring order.
5. Destination and timing
Country of delivery and any deadline help with freight, Incoterms and lead-time planning.
With those five points we return a price, recommend the most economical structure, and send a free digital proof — then a credited-back physical sample before you commit.
